Quick answerThe advertised inch size of a suitcase is roughly its height, and often excludes wheels. Listings that state wheels-included sizes show 20 to 22 inch carry-ons measuring 20.9 to 23.5 inches tall, 24 to 26 inch cases 26.5 to 28 inches, and 28 to 30 inch cases 30 to 33 inches.
